Echo CS-310 and CS-352 Chainsaw Parts

The Echo CS-310 takes a Walbro WT-946 carburetor (genuine A021001700) and air filter A226000460. The CS-352 runs a different carburetor, WT-992 (A021003330), and its own filter, A226001420 - neither part crosses to the CS-310 despite the shared recoil starter, and none of it matches the bigger CS-400.
Below are the full numbers for both saws, the one assembly they do share, and the bar and chain lengths that differ between them.
The CS-310 and CS-352 numbers
| Part | CS-310 (30.5 cc) | CS-352 (34.1 cc) |
|---|---|---|
| Carburetor | Walbro WT-946 (A021001700) | Walbro WT-992 (A021003330) |
| Air filter | A226000460 | A226001420 |
| Tune-up kit | 90121Y | 90175Y |
| Recoil starter assembly | A051002741 - fits both saws | |
| Spark plug | NGK BPMR8Y, Champion RCJ8Y - same physical plug on both | |
The carburetor and air filter are the two numbers that trip people up: both saws are sold as "the small Echo chainsaw" by sellers who don't distinguish them, but a WT-946 will not run on a CS-352 and a WT-992 will not run on a CS-310. None of the four numbers above cross to the CS-400/CS-370/CS-420ES family either - that is a separate 40.2 cc engine entirely.
Bar and chain: 14 in on the CS-310, 16 in on the CS-352
The CS-310 ships with a 14 in bar - 3/8 in low profile pitch, .050 in gauge, 52 drive links. The CS-352 ships one size up, a 16 in bar at the same pitch and gauge but 56 drive links. Both are genuinely sold as 16 in bar/chain combos too if the saw has been upgraded, so measure or count the links on the bar you actually have rather than assuming from the model name.
The 56-drive-link CS-352 chain is a separate count from the 57-drive-link 91PX57CQ that Echo's own CS-400-class chain uses at the same 16 in length - see the chains and bars page for the full cross-reference and why that single link matters.

Fuel, and the order to check before blaming the carburetor
Both saws run the same 50:1 Power Blend mix as the rest of Echo's two-stroke range - see Echo 2-stroke oil and the 50:1 mix. If either saw won't hold a tune, check stale fuel first, then the air filter, then the fuel lines and primer bulb, then the spark plug - the carburetor is rarely the actual fault even though it gets blamed first. The full diagnostic order is on the Echo carburetor page.
One shared part, two separate engines
The recoil starter assembly, A051002741, is the only number on this page that fits both saws without changing anything - it bolts to the same starter housing shape on both the 30.5 cc and 34.1 cc engines. That is as far as the parts sharing goes: the carburetor, air filter and tune-up kit are each specific to one engine, and a listing that claims "fits CS-310 and CS-352" for anything other than the starter or the bar/chain is worth checking twice. See the recoil starter and pull cord page for how to tell a cord problem from an engine problem before ordering either.
Smaller and lighter again is the top-handle Echo CS-2511T arborist saw - a 25 cc platform with its own Walbro WT-1208 carburettor (A021004690) and the shortest 12-inch, 45-drive-link bar in the Echo range.
