Echo PB-580T Backpack Blower Parts

The Echo PB-580T backpack blower takes a Walbro WTA-35 carburetor (genuine A021004331), air filter A226000032 and recoil starter A050000340 - the same parts the PB-580H shares, but none of which fit the smaller handheld PB-250 or the PB-2100 covered elsewhere on this site.
Below are the genuine numbers, the fuel system kit that goes with them, and the spark plug this 58.2 cc engine takes instead of the one on Echo's trimmer range.
The PB-580T / PB-580H numbers
| Part | Number | Also fits |
|---|---|---|
| Carburetor | Walbro WTA-35 (A021004331) | PB-580T, PB-580H only |
| Air filter | A226000032 | Also the larger PB-403/413/500/620/650/755 backpack range - not the PB-250 or PB-2100 |
| Fuel system / tune-up kit | 90158Y | PB-580T, PB-580H |
| Recoil starter assembly | A050000340 | Shindaiwa EB600RT (same parent-company engine) |
| Ignition coil | A411001620 | PB-500T, PB-500, EB600RT |
| Spark plug | genuine A425000000, Stens 130-115 | Different physical plug from Echo's 21-25 cc trimmer range |
The air filter also turns up relabelled under tune-up kit SKUs that bundle a fuel filter and primer bulb with it - the filter number itself stays A226000032 no matter which kit it ships inside.
Why none of this fits a PB-250 or a PB-2100
Echo's blower range splits by engine size, not by look. The PB-250/ES-250 handheld runs a 25.4 cc engine on an RB-K106 carburettor kit, and the PB-2100 runs its own Zama C1U-K42 on a smaller frame again. The PB-580T's 58.2 cc backpack engine shares none of those numbers - the carburetor, filter, starter and spark plug on this page are all specific to the PB-580T/PB-580H pair. The genuine tube nozzle (P021049080) and flexible connector hose (E164000080) that the blower body itself uses are covered on the leaf blower parts page rather than repeated here.

Fuel and the won't-start order
The PB-580T runs the same 50:1 Power Blend mix as the rest of Echo's two-stroke range - see Echo 2-stroke oil and the 50:1 mix. A backpack blower that won't start follows the same cheap-part-first order as every other Echo two-stroke: stale fuel, then the filter, then the primer bulb and fuel lines, then the spark plug, and only then the carburetor - the full logic is on the Echo carburetor page.
Same engine, a Shindaiwa badge
Echo sold this 58.2 cc backpack engine under its sister brand too, as the Shindaiwa EB600RT - the reason Shindaiwa part numbers and listings turn up when searching for PB-580T parts. The recoil starter and ignition coil cross freely between the two badges; the carburetor and filter numbers above are the ones to search by rather than the model name on the shroud.
The PB-580T sits in the middle of Echo's backpack range, not at the top. The 63.3cc PB-770T and the 79.9cc PB-9010T / PB-8010T both run bigger engines with their own separate carburetor and filter numbers.
