Echo SRM-2620 Parts and Fitment

Echo SRM-2620 Parts and Fitment product photo

The SRM-2620's carburettor, air filter, spark plug and fuel line kit are all different numbers from the SRM-225/210 range - only the gear head (P021008182) carries over. SRM-2620, SRM-2620T and SRM-3020 share one parts platform.

The SRM-2620 is Echo's step up from the homeowner SRM-225/210 range into commercial-class territory, and the parts search for it runs into the same trap every time: a tune-up kit bought by engine size rather than by number. The 2620 does not share its carburettor, air filter, spark plug or fuel line kit with the smaller trimmers - only one part crosses over.

Below are the genuine numbers, the one part that does carry over from the 225/210 family, and where the SRM-2620's sibling, the SRM-3020, fits in.

The air filter's cover piece (A226002040) is sold separately on some listings and bundled on others - if a tune-up kit looks incomplete, check whether the cover was supposed to come with it before assuming a part is missing.

Where the SRM-2620 leaves the 21.2cc family behind

The SRM-210 splits from the SRM-225 on exactly one part - the carburettor. The SRM-2620 is a bigger break: the carburettor, the air filter, the spark plug and the fuel line kit are all different numbers from the 21.2cc SRM-225/210 range. A tune-up kit bought for "an Echo trimmer" by engine size rather than by number will not fit a 2620, because none of the four consumable parts cross over.

The one exception is the gear head at the bottom of the shaft - P021008182 is genuinely the same assembly across the SRM-225, SRM-225i, SRM-210 and the 2620/3020 pair, covered in full on the Echo gear head and gearbox page. Everything else, match the number, not the badge - the same rule the carburettor page and spark plug page cover for the rest of the range.

SRM-2620 and SRM-3020: the same parts platform

Echo's own listings group the SRM-2620, SRM-2620T and SRM-3020 under one parts platform. The carburettor (A021004600/A021004601), air filter (A226002030), spark plug (A425000060) and fuel line kit (90182Y) show up on genuine and compatible listings for all three badges without a separate number for the 3020 - order by the part number here regardless of which of the three is stamped on your shroud.

The same engine also sits under the PAS-2620 attachment power head, so a PAS-2620 owner works from this same parts list rather than the fixed-shaft SRM numbers above - the coupler and attachment side of that system is covered on the PAS attachment parts page.

Line, head and what wears first

The SRM-2620 is built to run .105 in line all day without bogging - the commercial-class step up from the .095 in that the 21.2cc homeowner trimmers are sized for. The Speed-Feed 400 head (99944200907) is confirmed to fit the 2620/2620T alongside the SRM-225, so the no-rewind upgrade covered on the trimmer head page applies here too. The full diameter-by-model breakdown, including why stepping a smaller trimmer up to .105 in bogs the engine, is on the trimmer line size chart.

A 2620 that turns rough or whines under load rather than just cutting badly usually points at the gear head (P021008182) rather than the line or the head itself - that is the one part this machine shares with the smaller range, and it bolts on as a complete assembly with no rebuild kit. If the machine will not start at all, work through fuel, filter, spark and carburettor in that order on the won't-start page before assuming the worst.

Frequently Asked Questions

What carburettor does the Echo SRM-2620 use?

A021004600 or A021004601, shared with the SRM-2620T, SRM-3020, PAS-2620, HCA-2620, BRD-2620, PE-2620, PPT-2620 and SHC-2620. It is not the same carburettor as the SRM-225 or SRM-210.

Is the SRM-2620 air filter the same as the SRM-225's?

No. The SRM-2620 takes A226002030 (with cover A226002040), a different filter from the A226001410 used across the SRM-225/210 family.

What spark plug fits the Echo SRM-2620?

A425000060, crossing to NGK CMR7H. This is the 33cc-class plug, different from the BPM8Y/BPMR8Y used on the smaller 21-25cc SRM-225/210 range.

Are SRM-2620 and SRM-3020 parts interchangeable?

Yes. Echo's own listings group both under the same carburettor (A021004600/A021004601), air filter (A226002030), spark plug (A425000060) and fuel line kit (90182Y) regardless of which badge is on the machine.

Does the SRM-2620 use the same trimmer head as the SRM-225?

Yes - the Speed-Feed 400 (99944200907) is confirmed to fit both. What does not carry over is the engine-side consumables: carburettor, air filter, spark plug and fuel line kit are all different numbers.
